SEED Casino Night
Open Call for Sponsors
SEED is now accepting sponsors for its annual fundraiser, casino night to be held Friday, June 3 at the Hellenic Center, in Dover, New Hampshire. In addition to traditional casino games, the night will be filled with fun events, including a wine pull, silent auction, and raffle. All funds raised will be used to grant awards to Dover teachers for innovative learning proposals to promote academic excellence in Dover schools.
SEED was founded in 2011 in response to concerns from citizens and local businesses about 21st-century skills of persons entering the workforce. Twice annually, the non-profit awards grants to Dover public school teachers for innovative programs and practice proposals, and resource needs. In December, SEED opened the grant period and received eighteen proposals from teachers and administrators across the district from Dover High School to Dover Middle School and each of the elementary schools. From those applications, SEED awarded just less than $7,000 in education grants for equipment, professional development and learning experiences.
SEED has funded dozens of programs to enrich learning inside and outside the classroom with a focus on instructional learning and programs, instructional innovation, and professional development for Dover educators. SEED is now accepting applications for sponsorship of this event. Please visit www.DoverSEED.org for more information or email info@DoverSEED.org.
