SEED Opens Fall Grant Session

SEED Opens Fall Grant Session

Application Deadline October 1, 2016

SEED is now accepting applications for its fall grant period. Application deadline is October 15, 2016.

SEED grants are awarded to educators in the Dover Public School District for original programs, initiatives, tools and resources that will directly benefit the education of the students.  Grants are open to educators and administrators at all grade levels and across all schools in the district.  SEED grants are focused on providing students with the resources to succeed in 21st Century post secondary education as well as preparing students for future career challenges.

Grants are awarded for proposals that include plans for instructional projects or programs, professional development courses and instructional innovation, which includes tools, techniques or technologies. The last grant cycle awarded nearly $9,000 for projects throughout the Dover district.

Recently funded proposals include professional development on executive function training for middle school educators, hands-on learning field trip to the Seacoast Science Center for elementary school students, and a district-wide presentation coming this fall featuring the work of nationally renowned anxiety speaker, Lynn Lyons.

Proposals will be awarded based on SEED’s existing grant evaluation criteria and will be reviewed by the grant making committee. Applications for the fall grant period will be accepted until October 15, 2016. To learn more or download a grant application, please visit the SEED website at www.doverseed.org.
