SEED’s Innovation In Bloom Online Fundraiser Starts May 22, 2015
The Seacoast Educational Endowment for Dover (SEED), a non-profit organization that promotes academic excellence by providing innovation grants to Dover educators, is pleased to announce its Innovation in Bloom online auction and fundraiser is scheduled to begin on May 22, 2014. This interactive fundraiser, live for only two weeks, will auction off fun and unique items to raise money to fund grant awards to Dover teachers for innovative programs, practices, and resources.
The online auction has an assortment of items ranging from Boston Red Sox tickets to African Safaris, a private sail to the Isles of Shoals, and restaurant, spa, and retail gift cards. The event has started to pick up corporate sponsors; New England Tutors and Calypso Communications have donated $250 each toward the event. Meanwhile Dover Police Charities committed $500 for underwriting event costs.
“Good schools build a stronger workforce, attract high quality employers, and increase property values,” said Beverly Shadley, Vice President SEED Board of Directors. “Education matters to our entire community –whether or not we have children or grandchildren in the public schools.”
The fourteen day online auction is set to start at 8:00 am on Friday, May 22 and runs through Friday, June 5, 2015 ending promptly at 10:00pm.
