“We are so grateful to have our first ever event underwriter-- Portsmouth Regional Hospital's Dover Emergency Room Campus,” said SEED Event Chair Natalie Koellmer. “This fundraiser is a key factor in our ability to fund grant requests from administrators and teachers.”

SEED was formed to supplement the constrained school budget with private grants funded through donations. Since its inception SEED has awarded more than $100,000 in grants for Dover educators to implement innovative learning experiences, create new curriculum, access additional resources, attend educator development training, and purchase 21st century technology and classroom equipment.

With 54 business partners and more than 120+ individual donors committed to academic excellence, the non-profit has enabled teachers to introduce Next Generation Science Standards curriculum at the High School, provide literacy learning for grades K-4 and deliver Jo Boaler’s Mindset Mathematics training at the middle school. “Put plainly, SEED was formed to meet a need not met by the district budget,” said Karen Duffy, SEED President.  “In eight short years, SEED has made significant contributions to Dover public schools and our annual fundraiser lays the foundation for our ability to honor future grant applications.”

The evening will begin at 7pm and features a quartet of dynamic musicians facing off for an unusual night of entertainment. The fun-filled event will also include appetizers, cash bar, auction and the ever popular wine pull. Tickets are on sale now for $75 per person and event sponsorships are now being accepted.
