Ways To Give

Funding for Seacoast Educational Endowment for Dover (SEED) comes from individual donations, corporate giving, and our annual appeal. All proceeds go to grants that fund educator initiatives to create a richer, more dynamic learning environment across our school system. Your tax-deductible gift is an investment in the future of education at Dover's public schools.

We gladly accept direct donations at any time of the year. All proceeds will fund future grants awarded to Dover educators to help students learn the skills needed in the 21st century.

Donate directly to a teacher grant or to the general fund.

  • “Creating authentic opportunities for 21st century learning is essential and would not be possible without the support of SEED. Our town, with its dedicated community members and organizations, truly embodies the phrase, “It takes a village to raise a child.”

Harvey Knepp Scholarship

SEED is pleased to serve as the administrator of the Harvey Knepp scholarship fund.

Harvey Knepp was Dover High School’s longest tenured principal. The honorary scholarship fund ensuring his legacy lives on was launched in 2012 by the Dover High School Homecoming Committee.

Following his time in the Army during World War II, Knepp earned a degree from Harvard University in just three years. He was hired at DHS in 1950 to teach physics and returned from serving in Germany to become assistant principal in 1956. He went on to become principal in 1962, a position he held for 13 years. He retired in 1982 and served on the School Board until 1984. Knepp passed away on December 11, 2011, at the age of 91.

Praised by all those who knew and worked with him, Harvey Knepp left a lasting impression on many. “He could have done anything he wanted, and he chose education,” said Kent Rossberg, who was hired at Dover High School by Knepp.

He’s remembered for his compassion for students and always being there to help a parent who was having difficulty or seeking answers.
