The largest, $4,000, was given to the Science Department for geospatial learning curriculum. Presented by Amy Poirier and Arthur LeClair, the project will partner with the City of Dover and other local groups such as UNH and the Piscataqua River Estuary Partnership to have students collect and analyze geospatial data concerning nitrogen loading issues in Great Bay.

With $750, Susan Heeter, World Language teacher at DHS, will develop an interactive bulletin board to foster global learning through the 2018 World Cup. Also at the high school and through a partnership with Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, School Nurse Tara Ouimette was awarded $870 to purchase resource materials to promote health and wellness items for student use while visiting the nurse’s office.
