SEED Announces Annual Fundraiser: All In For Education

February 2 - SEED is now accepting sponsors for its annual fundraiser, All In For Education, to be held Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Redhook Brewery in Newington, New Hampshire. In addition to traditional casino games the night will be filled with fun events, including a wine pull, silent auction, and raffle. All proceeds will fund future grants awarded to Dover teachers to help students learn the skills needed in the 21st century.
SEED was formed in 2011, in response to concerns from citizens and local businesses about Dover’s inability to back new learning initiatives that better develop career and college readiness for Dover students. Funded strictly by community giving, SEED awards grants twice annually for projects to be implemented across the Dover school district. This past fall, SEED awarded slightly less than $20,000 in grants across five public schools in Dover. Grants included underwriting a Maker Space at Woodman Park School and funding a visit from The Mayhem Poets to the 7th grade class at Dover Middle School to project based learning at Garrison Elementary School and professional development for several Dover educators and administrators.
